The ICA Winners

I first want to say a HUGE thank you to each and every single judge for the work they did with these nominations. Judging wasn’t easy. It was time consuming, laborious, and arduous. With 90 stories to read and 10 authors to judge, taking the harder route of judging, instead of opting for a voting round was never going to be a piece of cake.

They’ve put up with my constant nagging and reminders, and they’ve done everything I’ve asked for and more.

In regards to another voting round, it won’t be soon. If it were, I’d probably have a hard time persuading most of the judges to say on. If I give them a large gap in between the next round, I have a small chance that they might stay for another round.

And if this were to happen, rounds would also be different. There would be less categories, and less stories in the categories. Imagine trying to read 90 stories, most with an average of 30 chapters to them, in the space of two months. This was one of the reasons why the announcement date was pushed back so far.

But in the end, it’s been extremely worthwhile, and the quality of the nominations has been excellent. Each story deserved something, but unfortunately, we could only give a winner and a runner up.
